A Space for the Girls Who Cry, Smoke, and Still Dance
This isn’t your cousin’s reggaeton blog. And it’s definitely not here to be industry-friendly. House of Perreo was built for the girls who live in playlists, heal through lyrics, and find the divine in a reggaeton bass drop.
I started this because I was tired of the male gaze, tired of the gatekeeping, and tired of the idea that you have to be a certain kind of Latina to belong in the culture. I’m a first-gen Nicaraguan-American who grew up with a lot of silence and a lot of music. And somewhere in between the two, this blog was born.
Here, you’ll find:
- 🎶 Tour recaps with real emotion — not just the setlist
- 📝 Artist spotlights that go beyond the PR bio
- 💿 Playlists for the heartbroken, the high, the horny, and the healing
- 💭 Cultural commentary with a first-gen, feminine lens
- 🧿 A little chisme, a little bit of sazón and a lot of corazón
This blog is for the girls who light candles before concerts. The ones who never felt “Latina enough.” The ones who overthink lyrics like scripture. If that’s you — welcome home.
House of Perreo is a soft rage. A sad girl sanctuary. A love letter to the music that raised us.
Stick around. Subscribe. And stay tuned — because here, playlists hit like therapy and lyrics feel like home.
