This is more than just a blog. It’s a loudspeaker for the movement. From perreo intenso at the club to tear-streaked trap ballads in your headphones at 2AM, we’re here to archive the moments, memories, and meaning behind the music that raised us.
Why We Exist
Reggaeton and Latin trap are global now — but their roots are deeply Caribbean, Afro-Latin, immigrant, and working class. House of Perreo exists to honor that origin story. We break down tours, interviews, playlists, and cultural moments with both sazón and corazón.
Who Runs This?
House of Perreo was created by a first-gen Nicaraguan-American mujer obsessed with lyrics, healing, and rebellion. This blog is my love letter to all the Latinas dancing through survival, grief, joy, and transformation.
I’ve been broke, I’ve been reborn, and I’ve been saved by Karol G lyrics more times than therapy. I believe in soft power, loud music, and making space for our stories in a world that erases them.
